Thanks to the members of M2M Team Petty who came out to today's "practice hike". John (the tall guy in the back) was the world's best "caboose" keeping tabs on everyone to make sure no one fell behind. Mason on the left was our "engine" most of the hike, keeping us at a pretty quick pace. And Julie O. is looking good in the new MMCC "LOVE" t-shirt. Great day on the mountain!!!

Bring plenty of water and some some snacks (trail mix or granola bars... girl scout thin mints tend to melt)

Okay- Team PSG - We know we are the BEST group... now it's time to prove it! Don't you love a little friendly competition?? Here's the plan: In a few days, the MMCC website should open registration for the MOUNTAIN 2 MOUNTAIN event. First, we all need to sign up for the event. If you want to contribute more than the registration fee to the cause , sign up your dog, your cat and your next door neighbor. Then invite everyone (and anyone) to be a part of our Hiking Team. All they have to do is register... really. They don't have to participate in the hike. They don't even have to live in Arizona. If they can't quite afford the $25 registration, have them register one of their kids for $15. Hopefully some of your recruits will choose to hike with us on the afternoon of Sunday, April 11th. They will feel great knowing that they, too, are part of the BEST team!

The first annual Mountain to Mountain Team Hiking Challenges is set for Sunday, April 11th. Team Petty's goal is to recruit the largest team in the Challenge thus earning the coveted "Mountain Top Trophy". It's a worthy goal because bragging rights are everything... Actually, the real goal is to raise a bunch of money so McDowell Mountain Community Church's mission team can send as many people with as many resources as possible to a hurting mountain community in the Dominican Republic through a partnership for Food for the Hungry.
